MEDUSA
is the mobile FIRE Client on smartphones to extend the range of UMC’s FIRE Face Recognition application. The MEDUSA Client provides Matching and Enrolment.
Medusa Interface
The interface provides the following major functions: it interfaces with the active MEDUSA CLIENTS and interfaces with the FIRE-SERVER to dispatch Enrollments and ID Matches generated by the mobile MEDUSA CLIENTS and routing back Enrollment and ID Results to the mobile MEDUSA CLIENTS.
In addition all incoming images captured by the mobile MEDUSA CLIENTS are automatically quality enhanced and non-portrait view are automatically pose corrected to a 0-0-0 portrait view.
Back office
Mobile MEDUSA CLIENTS provide a BACK OFFICE processing mode for difficult to handle images. In this case incoming images are automatically routed through to an active FIRE-CLIENT where necessary image enhancement / pose corrections are processed by officers on duty. These images are – after processing - routed back to the MEDUSA-INTERFACE to then sent back to a mobile MEDUSA-CLIENT.
